Job Title: Sales Executive (Delegate Relations)

Location: Covent Garden, London

Employment Type: Full Time

 

We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our London-based Delegate Relations team as a Delegate Sales Executive. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the success of our events by securing the right number and quality of delegates.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, creative, social and hard-working individual who is eager to further their career in sales within the financial industry.

 

You will be working for one of our award-winning brands, Investment Week and you will be responsible for recruiting delegates from our database using both warm and cold leads to ensure event attendance. This will be done by generating business over the phone and face to face research meetings.

 

Key tasks and responsibilities 

  • Actively manage the client database to ensure information is accurate and kept up to date.
  • The ability to present an appropriate sales proposition to the qualified decision maker, with the intention of confirming their attendance at our events.
  • Relationship building through meetings, attending events and phone conversations.
  • Managing and maintaining all elements of the registration process, working towards recruitment and retention deadlines.
  • Keeping up to date with changes within the industry by reading industry publications.
  • Being active on LinkedIn and across the market to promote events.
  • Achieving team event targets and KPIs such as number of registrations, number of calls and meetings per week.
  • CRM knowledge is preferable (HubSpot) with good working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities, understanding the client's needs and providing them with information about future events in the portfolio.
  • Collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and operations, while maintaining strong internal communication skills as part of a team.

  • A team player who can work across matrix organizations.
