Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Location: Belfast
Salary: £42,000 + On-call bonus & overtime opportunities
Shifts: Monday to Friday, rotating mornings and evenings
Description:
We are hiring for our client, a leading renewable energy provider operating a waste-to-energy plant in Belfast. They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team and ensure the continued safe and efficient operation of their plant.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a time-served Mechanical Technician/Maintenance Fitter to work in a fast-paced, sustainable energy environment, with excellent earning potential through overtime and on-call bonuses.

The Role:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure plant efficiency
- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot, and carry out repairs to minimise downtime
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure safety and compliance standards are met
- Assist with plant upgrades, modifications, and improvements
- Participate in the on-call rota to provide emergency breakdown support
The Person:
- Time-served Mechanical Technician/Maintenance Fitter
- Strong experience in mechanical maintenance within industrial, manufacturing, or energy sectors
- Skilled in fault-finding, repairs, and planned maintenance
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practices
