Procurement Specialist (Battery Storage)

Job Description

To manage and execute the tender process for Masdar’s 3GWh+ BESS pipeline, ensuring detailed cost/benefit analysis of key suppliers. To optimise procurement processes, analyse supply chain data, and identifying strategic sourcing opportunities. To support all aspects of procurement in collaboration with the Contracts Manager, Delivery team, Finance, external stakeholders and consultants to manage and oversee the pre-tender and construction phase of BESS projects.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience:

• 2-5 years experience in supply chain management, market research or energy sector with a strong preference for BESS experience
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, including strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation. Familiarity with RfP tender processes is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis and modeling techniques. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is advantageous.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards governing procurement and supply chain management in the energy sector.
