Position Summary

The Supply Chain and Trade Coordinator provides administrative support to the Supply Chain and Trade team and works in close collaboration with other SEIA departments to manage duties and responsibilities outlined below The Coordinator reports to the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Trade, and provides support as directed to other members of the Supply Chain and Trade team.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Trade, and other members of the Supply Chain and Trade team
  • Prepares briefing books and other materials for the SVP in preparation for meetings, speaking engagements, and other events
  • Schedules internal and external meetings, and provides preparatory materials for those meetings including agendas and relevant documents
  • Oversees document management, including keeping Supply Chain and Trade calendar up to date; and maintaining and updating the various Council/Committee/Working Group agendas and meeting notes
  • Monitors White House, federal agency, international organizations, and other stakeholder publications and announcements; and maintains database of fact sheets, guidelines, Federal Register notices, and other relevant materials
  • Alerts the SVP and Supply Chain and Trade team of important issues and deadline
  • Conducts research on policy and regulatory issues
  • Communicates with SEIA members, including related to scheduling Council, Committee,  Working Group, and Division meetings and activities,
  • Works with SVP and Supply Chain and Trade team to ensure timely and accurate response to member company inquiries
  • Attends meetings and briefings on behalf of the Association, and provides summaries and analyses of proceedings  

Professional Experience, Education & Other Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of work or internship experience, preferably in advocacy, policy, or other government-related field
  • Demonstrated interest in energy and/or international regulatory policies and actions
  • Ability to work directly with SEIA members, with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, including meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team environment in a cordial, flexible and tactful manner
  • A strong work ethic and cheerful customer-service, customer-first attitude in order to thrive in our fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to learning new skills
  • Computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams) 


 Working Conditions

  • This position is based in headquarters in Washington, DC.
  • SEIA employees in the Washington, D.C. region follow a hybrid remote and in-person office model. Employees work 3 days a week in an office environment and as needed when there are special events or meetings, but otherwise, they can be remote.


Compensation Range

$50,000-$55,000 annually, based on experience and an excellent benefits package.
