Overall Purpose of the Job

The primary objective of the Subsea Maintenance Technician role is to ensure that Expro's subsea equipment is maintained, tested, certified, and operationally ready to safely support client operations both onshore and offshore.

The role is responsible for ensuring Expro's subsea assets remain safe, compliant, reliable, and ready for deployment by delivering high-quality maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair activities while supporting operational excellence and maintaining the highest standards of safety and service delivery.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

  • Maintain equipment integrity and reliability through preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities on subsea systems and associated control equipment
  • Ensure safety and compliance by conducting inspections, testing, repairs, and certification activities in accordance with Expro procedures, OEM requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Support operational readiness by preparing, assembling, testing, and mobilising equipment for workshop and offshore operations
  • Deliver accurate documentation and asset traceability through the completion of maintenance records, test certificates, job packs, and service reports
  • Promote a strong safety culture by actively participating in risk assessments, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and the reporting of hazards and non-conformances
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders including Operations, Engineering, Stores, Quality, and Offshore Personnel to ensure equipment and resources are available to meet operational demands
  • Maintain high workshop standards by ensuring equipment, tools, and work areas remain organised, serviceable, and fit for purpose
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, workshop efficiency, service quality, and overall safety performance

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a workshop, mechanical, manufacturing, or maintenance environment is essential
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Forklift certification would be advantageous
  • Flexible, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality work
